Upon joining, a member is encouraged to get clear about the business development path that most reflects where he or she is on her individual entrepreneurial journey. He or she may:

- have discovered her calling, but has yet to earn sufficient income from it.
- be already earning, but wants to earn more money from products or services offered online.
- want to develop her Authentic Abundance business as a stand-alone income stream.
- or she may just want to be part of the community for connection, support, camaraderie and inspiration.

Our Authentic Marketplace supports both authentic business development and online sales. This is an online marketplace where originally created, certified authentic products and services, that pass our vigorous review standards, are offered for sale to the online public. Both member and nonmember certified authentic products and services are listed on our marketplace.
We are currently working to rebuild our marketplace to more accurately reflect our small, though talented community. As we grow, we expect it to fill it up with great products and services.
Once we have truly begun to implement proven traffic-driving strategies to send targeted, interested buyers to our marketplace, we expect this to become very successful. Just as we have all seen the interest in “buying local” grow at a phenomenal rate, we believe there will be high interest in “buying authentic.”
Authentic Abundance revenue comes from two sources:
- Affiliate commissions earned by the company from marketplace sales.
- Recurring monthly membership dues.
Authentic Abundance is a cooperative style company, which is 100% “co-owned” by its members, most of whom choose to volunteer some service hours for the good of everyone, and to keep expenses low.
All members are important to the life of the company and are assigned “units of ownership,” which determine how much each member will be paid in each quarter the company makes a profit and the board declares it is able to share some revenue with all members in the form of paying for those services and for the valuable presence of members and their talents.
In other words, you get paid for these things, not as an employee, or as dividends, but because you have units of ownership and you are providing your authentic presence and talents for all.
